Highlights: England 1-0 Serbia
England’s opening Euro 2024 game against Serbia on Sunday was watched on BBC One by a peak audience of 15 million people – more than half of the nation’s television viewers on the evening.
Jude Bellingham scored the only goal of the game as England won 1-0.
There was an average audience of 10.5 million – a 60% share of all those watching TV.
The match was also streamed 3.5 million times on BBC iPlayer.

“The nations came together in huge numbers to follow BBC Sport’s coverage of the first weekend of the men’s Euros,” said director of BBC Sport Alex Kay-Jelski.

England’s next game, against Denmark, will be shown on BBC One from 16:00 BST on Thursday, 20 June. Before that, Scotland v Switzerland will be shown on BBC One from 19:25 on Wednesday, 19 June.
Both games will also be available on BBC iPlayer, BBC 5 Live, BBC Sounds and Online.
