Yoweri Museveni Explains Why Raila Odinga Has Roots in Uganda

President Yoweri Museveni asserted that most Kenyan communities share dialect with Ugandan clans including Raila Odinga’s Jaramogi clan in Amuru district.

President Yoweri Museveni emphasised the need for strong ties between Kenya and Uganda due to their several similarities He mentioned that Uganda also harbours communities such as Nandi, Turkana, Kisii, and Giriama which are also found in Kenya Museveni also claimed that the Jaramogi clan, named after Raila Odinga’s father is found in the Amuru district of Uganda.

Museveni underscored the importance of unified efforts towards prosperity and strategic security. He highlighted the strong ties between Kenya and Uganda, noting similarities even in dialects, which he explained share common meanings. Museveni pointed out that the Luo community traces its origins from southern Sudan through northern Uganda, leaving some members in the region.

Notably, he mentioned the Jaramogi community in Uganda’s Amuru district, named after Raila Odinga’s father, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
